Head lease, sublease and franchise agreement: do the end dates line up?

Enter the end dates and options for one site. The checker flags any agreement that runs past the one beneath it, today and with every option exercised.

General information to help you plan, not legal advice. Check the dates against your signed documents and take advice before you act on them.

What it checks

For a franchised site the safe order is: franchise agreement ends no later than the sublease, and the sublease ends no later than the head lease. Anything else leaves someone committed to run, or pay for, a site they may not hold.

Read the guide to aligning franchise agreements and leases for what to do about each finding. Tenuta IQ runs this same check across every site in a network, automatically.

Got more than one lease?

Send us a rent roll or a list of your sites and we will run it through the Tenuta IQ import dry-run and send back a short portfolio health check: upcoming and overdue critical dates, options at risk, head lease, sublease and franchise agreement mismatches, and certifications about to expire.
